Receivership Services
The REMM Group (REMM) specializes in receivership services for both residential and commercial properties. We have provided receivership services for over 20 years.
In addition to the day-to-day management of your property, REMM’s receivership services include:
A prepared Order appointing a REMM officer as the receiver of the property
Programs and schedules for the upgrade and turnaround of receivership property
Property tax analysis and review of appeal options affecting the receivership asset
Accurate and detailed reports describing the receivership asset, the claims against the asset, and its income- producing capacity.
Accurate and timely accounting information distributed to all appropriate parties, with additional documentation of expenditures, as needed (forensic accounting)

Expertise
The REO Division at REMM includes experienced asset managers, as well as licensed attorneys, real estate brokers, and accountants. REMM’s senior staff has experience in the field dating back to the late-1980s savings-and-loan crisis, including management of a large portfolio for American Savings and Loan.
From the initial management take-over to the sale of receivership assets, REMM’s goal is to go beyond preserving existing value — it is to create value.
Robert M. Taylor, CRE, is the founder and President of the Robert M. Taylor Corporation, DBA The REMM Group, an Accredited Real Estate Management Organization (AMO), as designated by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). The REMM Group was established in 1978 and manages in excess of 125 real estate management accounts and provides accounting services for ten real estate management companies. Mr. Taylor is an appointed court receiver, has been active in managing Real Estate Owned (REO) properties since 1981, and is a member of The Association of Real Estate Owned Managers, Inc. (REOMAC). Clients of The REMM Group include: pension funds; syndicators; foreign investors; and individuals.
Richard Feld, Esq., has been practicing real estate law for over two decades in California. Mr. Feld handles all aspects of commercial real estate development including entitlement, financing, property management, acquisition and disposition. He is also skilled in the areas of negotiation, documentation, and partnership formation. He has handled sophisticated litigation through the appellate level. Mr. Feld received a Juris Doctorate degree from University of California Hastings College of the Law. His professional affiliations include State Bar of California, American Bar Association (Real Property Section), Building Industry Association and International Council of Shopping Centers.
Mark T. Guithues, Esq., is a receiver who understands how to fix “broken” condominium and other subdivision projects and reinstate DRE approvals to sell property to the public. Mark is a subdivision and homeowners association attorney who has represented commercial developers and residential builders seeking to develop and sell projects within and including master-planned communities, freestanding subdivisions, condominium projects and age-restricted communities. He has served as general counsel for a mid-sized residential homebuilder where he handled insurance negotiations, implemented SB 800 and other risk management procedures, and resolved conflicts with city and county representatives and the State Contractors License Board. Prior to entering the legal profession, he served as a property manager of both residential and commercial projects. Mr. Guithues is a licensed California real estate broker.
G.A. “Chip” Julin, RPA, has had an impressive career in the field of real estate, including investments, management, and leasing. In his 30 plus year career, Mr. Julin has gained extensive knowledge of the real estate industry. He has testified before the United States Congress on several occasions regarding issues impacting the commercial real estate industry. Mr. Julin is a licensed real estate broker in California, and has received his Real Property Administrator (RPA) certificate from the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI), and has served as an international president of Building Owners and Managers Association, International (BOMA).
Sarah Fahmy has worked within the real estate industry for 15 years and has been affiliated with the REMM Group since 2000 as a realtor specializing in residential and investment property. Ms. Fahmy brings considerable expertise in matching investors’ needs to sound and profitable ventures within real estate and mortgage lending. She has cultivated relationships with various capital management firms and the lending divisions of Chase Bank, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo among others. She also has experience in working with investors from China, Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
