The REMM Group has integrated social responsibility as a core component of our organization. This means that in addition to supporting our surrounding communities, we are dedicated to managing our multifamily and commercial portfolio with the goal of making a positive impact in lives of residents and tenants.
To insure this focus is maintained we developed the iCARE program for our associates. The program assists and motivates our team members to be vigilant in providing beautiful, friendly community environments for our residents and responsive helpful work environment for out tenants.
Moving out from these REMM-managed communities and businesses into the surrounding areas, we are fortunate to work with organizations like Higher Ground Youth and Family Services and Mercy House Transitional Living Center. The work they do keeps us grounded in gratitude for all we have and what we are able to contribute. REMM CEO, Sara D'Elia, served on the Board of Directors of Mercy House for 14 years; she knows how critical corporate giving is to the success of non-profit organizations.
The charitable Giving/Community Support Task Force at The REMM Group organizes monthly donation programs. These programs include both our corporate, regional, and onsite teams. Their ideas have included a back-to-school program giving backpacks to kids in need at a local school and working with Veteran organizations to support our troops. We have written letters and sent care packages to active duty service men and women, collected clothes for Working Wardrobes and sponsored a dog named Mugsy that needed surgery at Lovebugs Rescue.
Our annual toy collection for Mercy House Residents is an inspiring success for everyone involved. We give the residents in our multifamily communities the opportunity to participate and the response is enthusiastic. They often thank the onsite teams for organizing the collection.
Trade organizations, suppliers, and clients are also involved in supporting the community. We are enthusiastic participants in the events they organize. As an example, when IREMOC organized a day to help Habitat for Humanity, we had strong team participation.
Team members from The REMM Group are encouraged and supported in their efforts to give back. This includes Our Vice President of Operations, Jeanette Ruscitti who was President of IREM OC in 2019 and our Director of Commercial Property Management..
The REMM Group is also committed to do its part to sustain the environment, increase energy conservation awareness, and make the lives of those around us healthier. We have added technologies, switched to green products, and embraced procedures that conserve resources and reduce our impact on the environment at each of the multifamily communities we manage.
In the incredibly busy world of property management it would be easy to overlook the importance of social responsibility. By making it a part of our overall mission to Going Beyond and Creating Value we have integrated it into our structure. That, and the outstanding people we work with, keep our eyes focused on giving back with gratitude.
